darleeena
Just jumping in here to see who's with me: I'm on day 3 of my first Whole30, and can't concentrate on work. I've rabbit-holed into the forums most of the day. I'm sleepy and grumpy, and have a slight headache. I also realized today that my probiotic is non-compliant and that's a bummer. I'll stop taking it but I've yet to decide whether to fully start over, and extend 3 days into February, or just let it slide. (Though I guess I know what the answer would be if I asked.) I ate fairly well before this so I'm a little surprised to feel this so strongly. Of course, I can't say I ate too well last week.
RB1
Hey this is my first day on my second round of Whole30. After a couple weeks in last time I was amazed at how much better I felt. But starting this round has been challenging I'm sure in part due to holiday eating. I know it'll get better in time...even though I have a sugar withdrawal headache as I type this. Hang in there!! miss_brooke
I am on Day 4 of my first Whole 30 and I feel the same way so you are not alone! I'm glad the books prepared me so I knew this stage was coming but it isn't the most fun way to feel. I've been drinking water and herbal tea to ease the headaches a bit but I have a feeling that I have a few days left of them. I'm glad to have other Whole 30ers out there to help me through these tough parts!
RandiW
I'm R2D4 as well. For R1's, make sure to check out the timeline: https://whole30.com/2013/08/revised-timeline/ It's not exact or fit for everyone, but feeling crappy as you withdraw from sugar is definitely normal. Snow day today and I'm stuck in the house wanting to eat ALL THE THINGS (aka: cookies, ice cream, etc. but instead eating: veggies, fats.) Trying hard not to snack since I know that's just my sugar demon yelling at me - I can feel my stomach is comfortably full! I forgot about this part. Trudging along, knowing this is totally worth it. Keep at it, those of you that are new - there's a reason people do more rounds, this program is life changing. So grateful I found W30 last year. purplepadres
The timeline is an excellent resource for gauging if what you're feeling is "normal." I'm on R4D4 today, and I woke up so cranky and irritated at the world. Lo and behold, days 4-5 on the timeline are "Kill All The Things!" For me, since day 1 this go-round, I've been a bit cranky about Whole30, which lets me know it's the right thing to do. It's going to be so worth it!
