Annalise
Yesterday I had a big slip up on D9 and had an in-compliant snack. Feeling extremely disappointed / discouraged and tempted to give up. Has this ever happened to anyone? Words of wisdom or support to continue on?
Laughoutloud
Don't beat yourself up. This is a very hard thing to stick to, especially if your diet wasn't close before the start. You can do this! I'm on day 11 and we're away from home. It's proving to be very difficult. Good luck! Stay strong!
VolChick84
I suggest you keep it going. Don't think of it as having to start all over, just add a few days on the end. Good luck!
DrawMonkey
You've got this!! Don't let a slip up get you down. Keep going - the important thing is you recognized you slipped up and want to correct it. It takes longer than nine days to form new habits, so stay strong! Our recommendation would be to read the article linked in my signature below titled 'do I really need to start over' and really be honest with yourself about the slip.,. you don't indicate whether you chose to eat something off plan or if it was a mistake of label reading or someone telling you something was fine... honestly that makes a big difference because if it was a consious decision, you need to think about what precipitated that... were you not eating enough, didn't have meals planned out, didn't have emergency food.... PenstemonPam
Annalise, it must be quite frustrating to have this happen 9 days in. You can do it, though! Don't stop! I'll share my "slip-up" - I was making pasta for my girls and I absentmindedly tested the doneness of the pasta by eating half a piece of one. It took me a couple of minutes to register what had happened. It was on my day 2, so I'm planning on adding a couple of more days on the end. I was really upset, though. It's a huge change for me to eat this way, and I'll just have to stay vigilant...and work on changing my girls' food choices so that they eat similarly to how I am eating now. Also, I think that SugarcubeOD has some great advice in her reply. Thanks!
Jane G
I’m having some trouble with labels. I made myself a large pot of soup in the beginning and thought I’d found a good compliant sausage to put in. Felt good about my first week and especially since I noticed stomach not so bloated. (I chose not to weigh myself in beginning, just want my older clothes to fit again). Decided to make soup again and in re-reading the label, think this might not be compliant. Any help appreciated. pic of label attached I think
