ladunn
My husband and I are staying in tonight, which we frequently do on New Year's Eve and more so because I'm only on Day 5 of my Whole 30. I'm planning for a nice dinner and appetizers for a long night of movies and watching fireworks and ball drop. On the menu so far....guacamole deviled eggs, shrimp cocktail (I blended a tomato, tomato paste, lemon juice & horseradish for the sauce), hopefully stuffed mushrooms, and the main course will be crab stuffed salmon from The Food Lovers Primal Palate- one of my favorite recipes which I haven't made in almost 2 years. I haven't settled on a side veggie yet. For the toast, we'll enjoy some sparking water or seltzer with strawberries....in champagne flutes of course! Anyone else planning a night in for the New Year??
MJam
We've never been big on new years. I think last year was the first year in a looooong time that I stayed up until midnight, just another day at this house. I cooked up a heart for the babies to eat and I bought the Perrier grapefruit sparkling water after Robin gave it the thumbs up. I'm on Day 31 and hubby is on Day 30 so it will be a compliant new years for sure. We are happy and healthy and looking forward to 2013!
Aberrantatavia
We are staying in and doing steaks on the grill and some roasted veges - not even sure which ones yet. I haven't technically started my whole 100 yet, so I may or may not have some dessert or a drink.... but right now I'm not feeling the need for it! Happy Whole New Year! Robin Strathdee
I've got stew in the crockpot, and Iron Skies is on the agenda for the evening, but that's as crazy as this house is getting tonight.
Sharon Simpson Thumann
We are having fish tacos and then off to see The Hobbit. We have a very posh theater. I could curl up and fall asleep in the seats! They have gourmet foods but I will only indulge in a piece of chocolate that comes from a local chocolatier and water of course. No alcohol for me, because I simply do not enjoy it. I am so glad that's not something I have had to worry about missing during Whole30's.

Life More Abundantly
We did! We hosted friends at our house and had a ton of veggies (red/yellow/green peppers, cucumber, jicama, sugar snap peas, baby carrots, grape tomatoes, celery, radishes), babaganoush, and herbed olive oil from Melissa Joulwan's blog (both recipes turned out delicious!). She did a post about New Year's Eve: Paleo Style--LOTS of tasty ideas! Other friends brought roasted chicken, different kinds of sausage, olives, spiced nuts, devilled eggs, etc. We also had raspberry seltzer water with a squeeze of lime juice and a splash of cranberry juice. Having "compliant" leftovers has made the Whole30/back to work transition MUCH easier this week.
