THW-4321
I am on Day 4 of my Whole 30, and have a lunch next week at a restaurant called Seasons 52. Hoping someone can help me pick some items off the menu that would keep me compliant. Unfortunately, Seasons 52 is my FAVORITE pre-Whole 30 restaurant so it will not be easy! But if I can get some advice I'll feel more confident about being able to stick to my goals...thanks in advance...https://m.seasons52.com/menu-listing/gluten-sensitive (including the gluten sensitive menu since I think that is the closest to what I need to stay on track)
Moderators ShannonM816 Posted January 31, 2018 Moderators Share Posted January 31, 2018 You're going to have to talk to the people at the restaurant to find out for sure what's in marinades. I imagine that there will be something that can be prepared for you, but you're going to need to ask about things like, what oil do they cook in? Is there sugar in the sauces or marinades? Which vegetables can you get that don't have soy or dairy or wheat? If there's a particular cut of steak or fish you like, I'd start there, ask if they can do that without marinades, cooked either dry grilled or with olive oil, and ask about spices they use. It might be easiest to call them during a non-busy time and ask questions before you go, so you know exactly what to say once you're there. Looking at their menu, I'm absolutely certain you'll be able to come up with something, and it'll probably still be really good, even if it's not what you would've ordered before -- nice fish and steak places are some of the easier places to find whole30 options.
