Need Suggestions for What to Try if Whole30 Did Not Help

Today is the last day of my Whole30.  During the last 30 days, I have had headaches almost every day, and stomach aches most days.  I'm sure that cashews and raw almond butter caused problems.  Other than that, I can't pinpoint the cause.  Any suggestions on what to eliminate to see what could be causing daily headaches and stomach problems?  Maybe tomatoes? Onions?  I don't want to start reintroduction without knowing what's causing the problems.  Thanks for any suggestions!

It's hard for us to tell you what else to eliminate when we don't know what you ate during the 30 days. The most common causes of headaches are undereating, lack of water, lack of adequate sodium and poor sleep. The most common causes of stomach aches (very generic term, hard to know what the actual problem is) is too much raw veggies, too much nuts and nut products, eating a lot more of something that you didn't eat before (ie, coconut products), too many cruciferous veggies like broccoli and cabbage.

Give us some details and we'll try to help be more specific for you.

Thank you, ladyshanny.  I've eaten tomatoes, onions, garlic almost every day.  Sweet potatoes a couple of times a week.  Apples, pears a couple of times a week.  Chicken, pork, beef, salmon, sardines for protein.  Lots of eggs.  Spinach, arugula, celery, green onions.  I ate cashews and almond butter a few times, and they gave me a really bad stomach ache.  But the things I was eating consistently, it was hard to pinpoint what was actually causing the problem.  The only other thing I had every day was coconut oil and coconut milk.  It never occurred to me that that might cause a problem.  Thank you so much for your help.

Did you eat amounts recommended by the Meal Template for the most part? Drink enough water? How's your stress levels? How about your sleep - how much are you getting? These can all be factors.

Your best solution will be to keep on, but eliminate things you suspect, then bring them back in slowly, one at a time.  You might try swapping out tomatoes, onions and garlic for zucchini, carrots, green beans; swap coconut oil for olive oil, skip the eggs and coconut milk and see how it goes.

It also may be prudent to consult with a functional medicine practitioner. If you have an underlying condition, you may need a very specific diet to fix whatever is causing this.
