Day 10 - Need a Little Cheerleading

Hi all! I'm on Day 10 of my first Whole 30 and so far it has been pretty great. I went out to eat last night, but had called ahead of time to see what was compliant (unfortunately, it was literally only one salad, but then we were able to tinker with one other dish to make it work). I've been following the meal template more or less, typical day of meals consists of a sweet potato & sausage for breakfast, buffalo chicken dip for lunch with raw veg, and "tacos" in cabbage shells or tomato & sausage over zoodles for dinner. My occasional snack is coconut butter, or some nuts.

However, I'm still really dragging - partly this is because I have four little ones and someone's always waking me up at night. I definitely was hoping that this would take care of some of my energy issues (and I haven't been feeling like I'm going to die at 4pm every day, so that's good). Just need some cheerleading, saying "way to go" or "I did it and you can too" to stay compliant through the weekend. Every person I've met IRL who has done the Whole30 has been super encouraging but they're not here today so I'm reaching out to you. Right now I am hungry but don't even feel like eating because I'm just sort of overall blah about everything.

TIA! ;)

So this does not actually meet the template... I'll get to cheerleading in a second but first, you really need to eat more.  You have no fat in your breakfast or dinner and the fact that you're eating snacks means you're not eating enough.  If you do need to eat between meals, make it protein and fat, not fruit or nuts/nut butters.

That said, you ARE doing great and you CAN keep going!  Eating more is going to make it easier to keep going because you wont' be battling with hunger or cravings as much which can be problematic especially on the weekend so make sure you're getting 3 full template meals a day spaced 4-5 hours apart, salt your food, drink 1/2 oz of water per pound of your own body weight and soldier on :)

Awesome, thanks for the input. I am still here at Day 16! I adjusted my meals to add more fat. I also wasn't snacking that much, just on days when I couldn't eat by 6pm for dinner. Unfortunately I got hit with the stomach flu yesterday and only had an applesauce and some blueberries towards the end of the day (along with about a gallon of la croix) but am feeling better this AM and had some leftover dinner.
