momsgonnasnap
Hiya! I am excited and a little nervous to start next weekend! I'm hoping to connect with others starting that day (or near it). I have type 2 diabetes, and am about 30-40 pounds over my ideal weight. One of my long-term goals is to reduce the amount of medication I take. I'm excited to see how I look and feel in a month! Jam Rockah
I'm starting around that time too - Feb 18! I'm looking to lose my baby weight (the baby is almost 3 so I don't have any more excuses) but really to improve my overall health and dependence on food. Fernsk
Starting on February 15, I also have Type 2 Diabetes, alas I’m closer to 60 pounds overweight. Currently I’m taking Metformin and for the past 2 months Gliclazide. I’d love to ditch the gliclazide and reduce or eliminate the Metformin. Here’s to success in Whole30. momsgonnasnap
Hi there! I am currently taking long-acting insulin once a day (80 units), Bydurion once a week, and glimepiride. I took Metformin for years and recently found that my gut does not like it. I'm seeing my doctor on Thursday this coming week, and am looking forward to hearing her input. momsgonnasnap
I quit on day 11. Not because I gave up... my blood sugar numbers were plummeting during the day. I am currently eating a paleo diet with occasional whole grains. I've reduced my daily (long-acting) insulin from 80 to 50 units, and cut my glimiepiride dose in half! My fasting numbers have been right around 100, which is perfect. Plus I've lost about 5 pounds. Moving forward, I am going to see my nutritionist again and am hoping to get a food intolerance test done. I'm so excited about the progress I've made!
