Minerva
I know peanuts aren't allowed, but what about other nuts and seeds?
purplepadres
They can be used as a fat source, but it's recommended that you minimize them as they have a less ideal fat profile (no more than a closed handful a couple times a week). Nuts can really mess with your digestion, so proceed with caution.
Moderators ShannonM816 Posted February 20, 2018 Moderators Share Posted February 20, 2018 Yes. Peanuts are actually legumes, related to peas and beans, which is why they aren't allowed. Other nuts and seeds are ok, although they're not the greatest fat source out there, so don't overdo them. A serving size is a closed handful, and you should try to limit them to not more than a serving every other day or so.
