You can try potatoes or sweet potatoes in the morning to start. Most Americans are familiar with breakfast potatoes at least. Sweet potatoes hit that sweet note that many people associate with breakfast as well. Both bell peppers & tomatoes are slightly sweet too. Also, you can hide a surprising amount of baby spinach in an omelette without having to taste greens at all.
