Hi everyone

Today, I´m starting my whole30 program.

I´ve been eating paleo for the last month and today is the day.

I´m drinking a tea without any sweetener for the very first time and... that´s fine!

Anybody started today?

Hi Charlotte, I am starting today too. I've been about 80% paleo compliant for the past few months, but I keep adding weight instead of shedding it, so I want to give the whole30 a good go to hopefully stabilize hormones and stop mindlessly overeating. Looking forward to this challenge. The main challenge for me is wine with my husband on the weekends. He supports me trying to be healthy but doesn't see the need to give up splitting a bottle of wine one night a week. Good luck!

Here I go with

DAY ONE

Breakfast

- Mushrooms

- Organic Chicken Sausages (without sugar, conservatives, etc.)

- Half Advocado

I think carbs/proteins/fats proportions are OK

Hi, @metcat64 ! So nice your reply!

Well... I support you too. It´s only one month. Wine  with your husband will be waiting for you both after that^^

Good luck and I´ll be here for sharing thoughts.

Hugs from Spain

DAY THREE

Well... I almost finish my third day. I think everything is going fine, but I´m suffering a terrible headache due to my caffeine absence.

I´m not hungry and I think I´m eating more than before. Without whey protein and cheese, I need some extra calories for whole30´s food.

Today I eat

BREAKFAST

carrots and breast chicken without fat

LUNCH

mushrooms, 2 boiled eggs, and serrano. I ate strawberries as dessert.

You'll truly have the best results if you have all of your meals match the meal template:  https://whole30.com/downloads/whole30-meal-planning.pdf  So every meal will be lots of vegetables, 1-2 portions of protein about the length, width, and height of your palm, and then 1-2 fat servings, meaning for each meal, pick one or two of the fat options listed, usually in addition to any fat you cook in. Adding fat to your meals will help you stay satisfied for 4-5 hours between meals, and it's a great way to add new flavors, so if you bulk cook a bunch of chicken for the week, and get bored with it by Wednesday, you can whip up a new dip or sauce or dressing to add to it to change up the flavor. Sunshine sauce (http://meljoulwan.com/2009/07/21/sunshine-sauce/) is great with stir-fries, pesto (http://meljoulwan.com/2009/08/05/presto-pesto/) can jazz up boring chicken or vegetables, make a rich, creamy salad dressing to make your salads more enticing (http://meljoulwan.com/2011/01/25/tangy-goodness-creamy-italian-dressing/) or pour chimichurri sauce on everything (http://meljoulwan.com/2014/07/02/chimichurri-aka-magic-sauce/).

First of all, thanks a lot for your reply.

You´re so nice!

You´re absolutely right about the portions. I´m not a good cocker and I´m trying to stay on the whole30 without any mistake but I have to improve my recipes^^

Today, I´ll try with chumichurri sauce. Wish me luck!

Thanks again for your nice reply.

Well...

Today is my 6th whole30 day. Everything is going fine, but I noticed that I´m doing a lot of pee.

I woke up twice a night to go to the toilet. I´m not hungry and I´m eating more fats following Shannon's recommendations. I´ve been eating small amounts of cashew for improving my meals.

My energy levels are suffering high and lows, I think, but I´m capable to go to the gym and do my exercises.

Hi everybody.

Is my 10th whole30´s day. This morning I wake up full of energy, my skin is glowing and, when I look in the mirror, a miracle was happening. My belly was flat and my body toned. I am a thin woman but I´m dealing with inflammation almost my entire life, but today. A miracle! Trust me!

It has not been easy for me. I miss cheese, milk, legumes and of course, bread. But everything deserves it.

I´ve been eating some good fat on my diet through olive oil, avocado, and cashew, and I feel really satiated than before. Today I´ll eat vegetable's cream (broccoli, onion, carrot, tomato, cauliflower, and mushrooms) and turkey chops. Strawberries as dessert.

Tonight I´ll prepare the purple sauce!
