ChristyJ
I completed a successful Whole 30 a few weeks ago and had been slowly reintroducing foods, doing well. Then last night happened. My husband is the manager at a brewery where they were having a comedy show. I had complaint breakfast and lunch (a little later than usual) and picked up a handful of snacks including carrots & hummus, some gluten free cookies for a friend and cider in case I wanted a drink. So... I had 3 ciders with 3 cookies and today am paying the price. I feel awful-took a 4 hour nap and my stomach is not happy. I've thrown the remaining cookies out and have learned a lesson the hard way.
kirkor
Ya, it can suck to go through those kind of learning experiences, but the upside is that they provide good reference points for you in the future. Thanks for sharing!
ChristyJ
(Compliant...) Yes, definitely good to know! I've done the whole 30 a few other times over the course of the past 2-3 years, but had gotten way off track before this past one. I'm back to working out on a regular basis and feel healthier than I've felt in many months, so at least I don't feel like last night was the beginning of a slippery slope with sugar/bad choices.
