Lesson Learned

Recommended Posts

I completed a successful Whole 30 a few weeks ago and had been slowly reintroducing foods, doing well.  Then last night happened.

My husband is the manager at a brewery where they were having a comedy show.  I had complaint breakfast and lunch (a little later than usual) and picked up a handful of snacks including carrots & hummus, some gluten free cookies for a friend and cider in case I wanted a drink.

So... I had 3 ciders with 3 cookies and today am paying the price.  I feel awful-took a 4 hour nap and my stomach is not happy.  I've thrown the remaining cookies out and have learned a lesson the hard way.

(Compliant...)

Yes, definitely good to know!  I've done the whole 30 a few other times over the course of the past 2-3 years, but had gotten way off track before this past one.  I'm back to working out on a regular basis and feel healthier than I've felt in many months, so at least I don't feel like last night was the beginning of a slippery slope with sugar/bad choices.
