GeliW
Hi I’m trying to figure out what’s compliant at Waffle House, and I can’t seem to find very much on the forums... one moderator seemed to say that the steak, eggs and Hashbrowns are ok but upon further research it looks like most things are cooked in a soybean/veg oil blend.. I found someone saying they got their Hashbrowns steamed in jalapeño juice?? Any suggestions?
Moderators ShannonM816 Posted April 1, 2018 Moderators Share Posted April 1, 2018 You would really have to ask at the restaurant. If they use frozen hashbrowns, there can be sugar in them, so even if they can cook them in compliant oil or steam them, they still wouldn't be compliant. Steak can be marinated, you'd have to ask about that. Eggs with nothing added to them, cooked in compliant oil would be okay. They might have salads or fruit. Moderators SugarcubeOD Posted April 2, 2018 Moderators Share Posted April 2, 2018 Do what Melissa does - order 3 poached eggs, a sliced tomato and half an avocado. Might not be the most exciting breakfast you've ever had but it would be compliant.
