Nicole
The best fish sauce I can find in Wellington, New Zealand has 3% sugar.... Is that a no no? Or is that just way too thorough? I've heard of people substituting anchovies (salt and fish only) in place of fish sauce, but I've found that it doesn't really have the same flavour as fish sauce without using ALL of the anchovies. missmary
sorry, if the ingredients say "sugar" it's out (no matter how much). Red Boat fish sauce is the only one I know that is compliant, but maybe in New Zealand there are other options?
Nicole
That is what I thought! Unfortunately I haven't found a better one than this. If I can order the Red Boat fish sauce online I might just do it.
