NikkiLee
I'm on day 13. I teach and practice hot yoga and also weight train twice a week. I'm not feeling well: I feel like I do on my worst days pre-Whole30. As I understand it, this program may take a while to kick in an help my autoimmune conditions, but may I please get some suggestions for dehydration? I sweat A LOT! I'm in a hot room once, sometimes, twice a day. I had been using Ultima as an electrolyte replacement. I've been trying my best with my eating, following the template and adding starchy potatoes. Moderators SugarcubeOD Posted April 13, 2018 Moderators Share Posted April 13, 2018 How much water are you drinking? You can add a tinsy winsy bit of salt to plain water (not even enough to taste it) and that helps with dehydration. I don't know what Ultima is but my guess is because you're referring to it as 'had' that it's not compliant. I would try salting your food liberally, drinking the 1/2oz of water per pound of bodyweight recommendation PLUS extra to make up for the sweat loss and put the bit of salt in your water and see how that goes. You 'can' also use coconut water which has electrolytes but it's like juice so that's not ideal to have daily. There are some waters that have electrolytes in them, I know Trader Joe used to sell their own brand so maybe have a look around for an enhanced water. Make sure you're also eating the pre and post workout meals in addition to your 3 meals a day to ensure you're getting enough nutrition based on how active you are.
