vegetarian/pescetarian- protein needs

Recommended Posts

I'm on day 8 of program.  I have been vegetarian for over 30 years with occasional fish.  I am allergic to egg whites and sensitive to egg yolks (but can tolerate them when eaten infrequently like 1-2/week.  Nevertheless, I've been eating eggs almost daily as well as daily fish (as opposed to 1-2/month)  but don't think I can continue eating these as much because: 1.  it's unwise to eat something I'm allergic to and 2. I cannot eat this much fish for a variety of reasons including moral and ethical reasons as well as the the fact that placing most fish in my mouth makes me literally nauseous.  I'm committed to the program, but wondering how I can get protein needs met eating less eggs and fish and without legumes/beans.  Any advise?  Thanks

Hi @Pam H - unfortunately we don't really make recommendations for plant based proteins. There's an article I've linked below about how to do Whole30 as a vegetarian but we don't make vegetarian protein recommendations because it's technically not the Whole30. The vegetarian shopping list leaves all the protein spaces blank for you to fill in yourself.
