ajonikaitis2
i will be doing my whole 30 while away at college and i live in the dorms. i make most of my own meals however i am struggling with what to do for breakfast. i don't have a lot of time in the morning to make eggs or anything before classes. i was wondering if there were any ideas for what to do in the mornings. something on the go would be ideal, but i am struggling to find any whole 30 compliant foods or recipes. Pomme
If you do have access to kitchen facilities, have you considered making egg-based "muffins" -- like crust-less quiches. They would be ready to go and very portable in the morning. Here is a recipe by Nom Nom Paleo that is Whole30 compliant. Making little snack packs of W30 foods would work too, but it depends what a person can tolerate in the morning. I don't know if cold sliced chicken and snap peas would be appealing to you. Lisa@SwissPaleo
Hi, I second the egg muffins but I'm not sure what kind of cooking facilities you have. These are the ones I make. I make 12 at a time and that will last me a few days. Hard boiled eggs are also good as something you can just grab and take with you. My daughter has a blender in her dorm room and she makes smoothies (coconut milk,, fruit of choice, raw egg, spinach). Here is my recipe for grain free granola, but you need to save it for after your whole 30 since it does have 1 Tbsp honey (I haven't tried making it without so I'm not sure how that would be..try it!). Maybe check out the website Paleo at Penn which is written by another student. Good luck!
melbournegirl
Just read in another post about smoothies not being approved for whole30's (even vegetable ones)
