KariB
I am starting this program on Thursday. Mostly because it’s my birthday tomorrow and I’m going to have a nice lunch when I get out of work and possibly cake. Does any one know of a Whole30 compliment meal replacement shake. I’m not a big breakfast eater during my work week (I need to be in work at 3:45a or 1:45a so making breakfast is not a thing I’m going to do often). Shakes are not recommended - what about making something the night before so you can eat it when you wake up? Eating breakfast is one of the real keys to getting your hormones balanced... Here's an article about breakfast - https://whole30.com/2017/05/i-hate-breakfast/ Smoothies: We’d rather you didn’t This is a very popular question, with a very unpopular answer. Smoothies (generally made using lots of fruit) are technically compliant on your Whole30, but we strongly recommend against it. Food that you drink sends different satiety signals to your brain than food that you chew. So when you drink your meal, your brain isn’t getting the feedback it needs to tell your body that it’s had enough of what it needs. Plus, smoothies are generally really fruit-heavy, and starting your day off with a liquid sugar-bomb sets you up for cravings, hunger, and volatile energy levels throughout the day. In summary, we’d rather you just eat the food, and skip the smoothie.
ldmcniel
I don't have to be at work that early, but I do get up at around 5 and leave at 6. I cook vegetables & meat ahead of time (usually the weekend before), and then each night I put 3 eggs in a bowl or a coffee mug with the meat and veggies and mix it all up, then I cover it and put it in the fridge. In the morning, I put it in the microwave for 2 minutes and then 30 second increments until it's done. This might be a good option for you since it's quick and doesn't require much work in the morning.
