Melslove
I am on day 24 of whole 30 and last night I noticed that my teeth have a grayish color and some staining. A couple of them almost look rotten! No tea or coffee. No pain. I have regular dentist check ups and cleaning. I am a bit freaked out. would this have anything to do with whole 30? Administrators ladyshanny Posted May 23, 2018 Administrators Share Posted May 23, 2018 There is nothing about eating protein, vegetables and good fats for 3 weeks that would make your teeth grey or rotten. Maybe go see your dentist?
Melslove
I have been trying to find the answer. I did see this thread on a gaps diet forum. Maybe it gut bacteria? https://gapsguide.com/2010/04/07/gaps-healing-teeth-part-2/
PNWkatie
I notice the same thing happening to me, but my dentist couldn't pinpoint what was the cause. I haven't been able to remove the grayish color with brushing, but if I use, say, my fingernail to scrape it off, it goes away. Also, after a cleaning at the dentist, it went away. This happened to me prior to doing a Whole30 as well as during and after. I haven't had much success finding any answers but I'm curious to see if anyone else has experienced something similar and has identified a cause. Melslove
Just a note. I did try the Clove essential oil and baking soda as instructed in the thread I posted above and it does work beautifully!!
