klhowe1311
Is Chai tea okay to brew and then make a latte with the unsweetended, silk almond milk?
Administrators ladyshanny Posted May 29, 2018 Administrators Share Posted May 29, 2018 Yes, just check the ingredients on your tea bags and also on the almond milk. Chai tea latte made this way sounds lovely!
klhowe1311
Fantastic! Thanks so much! Would you happen to know if the unsweetened almond milk that has no added sugar but does have locust bean gum and gellan gum and ascorbic acid added...is this okay to have? Administrators ladyshanny Posted June 1, 2018 Administrators Share Posted June 1, 2018 You'd have to review all the ingredients but the ones you have listed would be fine.
klhowe1311
almondmilk (filtered water, almonds) contains less than 2% of: vitamin & mineral blend (calcium carbonate, vitamin e acetate, vitamin a palmitate, vitamin d2), sea salt, natural flavor, locust bean gum, gellan gum, ascorbic acid (to protect freshness). laura_juggles
Compare your ingredients list to the program rules and common additives list (https://whole30.com/downloads/additives.pdf). If it's not listed as non-compliant, then it's allowable. If you have a particular ingredient that concerns you, feel free to ask, but learning to read ingredients lists and labels is going to make your Whole30 a whole lot easier.
