Cara Barresi
Wondering if anyone here makes their own chicken bone broth on the reg. If so, where do you get your chicken bones from? I can't eat enough chicken to keep an adequate stock of bone broth, since the water reduces so much as it cooks. Any sort of recommendations welcome. Administrators ladyshanny Posted June 5, 2018 Administrators Share Posted June 5, 2018 Check with a couple local butchers. Often they'll sell the racks (back and ribcage) for peanuts to get rid of them once they butcher the chicken. If you are on good terms with your butcher, they will sometimes give them to you for free or call you when they have an excess. You can go to raw dog food places too. It's all the same and is food-grade, at least in my area.
Rebe_J
Chicken feet are loaded with collagen. I've found them in Asian and Mexican markets.
