EileenRBe
4 ounces of fresh-squeezed orange juice. Once a week with brunch? Daily? Occasionally? Never? Thanks!
MJam
Never...not only is a liquid it is liquid fruit which has all the fiber removed and it will massively spike your blood sugar...never ok...no juice ever. This also goes for smoothies ever if they are all veggie smoothies. Only food you have to chew! Tom's suggestion of beet juice to another member was using it medicinally. I am worried that people are getting the wrong idea about juice.
kb0426
If you want something to drink with brunch, maybe take club soda or sparkling water and add a slice of orange. Otherwise, pass on it. As MJam says, it is just a path you don't want to go on.
EileenRBe
Cool, thanks. It's a favorite part of my typical brunch, but since this program is about changing habits, I'm game.
Robin Strathdee
I'd definitely recommend an orange seltzer water with some orange slices. Looks fancy, smells great and tastes incredible!
EileenRBe
I'd definitely recommend an orange seltzer water with some orange slices. Looks fancy, smells great and tastes incredible! I've been having a half a clementine (cutie) and it's just right. It even seems like a lot of "sweet" now that I'm into the program. It's not triggering cravings though. melbournegirl
Would orange slices in a cup/glass give you the same weekly brunch special feel perhaps?
EileenRBe
Juzbo, I might try the orange slices in some fizzy mineral water this Sunday for brunch. I do think it will add a special touch. But actually, now that I'm a week in and doing fine with the food in the program I'm OK with different habits and don't feel as much need to replicate what I used to do. Thanks for asking!
