Diana27
Husband, adult son and I are on Day 5 and no one's killed anyone yet! ;-) I've been eating large salads for lunch - greens, veggies, compliant dressing, raisins, nuts, hard-boiled egg and roasted chicken. Is quantity an issue? I'm filling up and eating a 9.5" plate 1.5-2 times. Is this too much? This forum is the best! I've learned so much from you all... kirbz
I'm sure a moderator will chime in but I've heard them mention that you should think about salads in terms of mixing bowl sizes when you eat them. Salad greens chew down to almost nothing so I think lots and lots is just fine! But, you should also be eating so that you feel full for 4-or-so hours between meals! :-)
Tarrantrl
What I often do is get my appropriate servings of fat and protein in the bowl with as much veggies as I can fit. As I eat the salad, I add more of just the veggies and mix it around. That way I know I'm getting my template amount of protein/fat so if I don't add all the veggies, I didn't leave some of my protein behind too (as I would have if I premixed it). I hope that makes sense!
