parisianplaid
Hi, I'm Sophie I'm a student and getting as much information about this program as I can before starting this program I'm not fat or anything, I just want to feel better in my shoes if it makes any sense (by the way I'm French so sorry in advance for my English...) Can't wait to talk to you all, know your experiences, what you felt, what was the hardest at first, and how you managed daily life after the program ? Linda419
Hi Sophie! I just started too, but no one replied to my post and I didn't want you to have that same experience! I actually have dual American/French citizenship and just got back from an over indulgent trip to France a few weeks ago. I too am doing this to feel better, lose a few pounds and get rid of my cravings. I'm on Day 8 and feeling a bit bloated today! I think it's supposed to feel better after a couple weeks. Welcome!! parisianplaid
Oh thank you Linda! Wow great to meet people from France and the States I have dual citizenship too, but never or rarely go to the States. How did you muster up the courage to start? I really want to start but always find an excuse not to like vacations coming up, or seeing friends for the evening and so on. Thank you for your warm greeting ! Linda419
Hi! I started because I had just gotten back from a 3 week trip to Europe (Barcelona, Lisbon, Paris) in June and I wanted to detox. I also read "It starts with food" and the science makes so much sense! In addition I have a friend who just lost 11 pounds (vanity weight) on Whole30. I used to have cravings afternoon and evening and I really want those to go AWAY. So just start! And when you go out with your friends, don't drink and have a steak and lots of vegetables. It's only 30 days! You can do it!!! Day 10 now for me! Come with me!!
parisianplaid
Wow, must have been a fun trip! I know that I eat so much cheese being in France, whereas when I travel I never or almost never have any lol You're right, I just have to start now, and 30 days isn't a huge deal. Actually I have a "detox" reason, I feel I eat poorly and it's motivation enough for me. thanks so much for your message
Linda419
Sounds like you're ready - do a couple of days of food prep and have at it! If you want to continue to post here, we can be there for each other fellow Frenchie! LOL
