Barb01
I have osteoporosis and must take a daily calcium supplement. My tablet shows that it contains soy. I know it must be in a small amount and I should be getting enough calcium eating correctly, but I do not want to have to go through Osteo reclast or other necrotic jaw causing remedies. Is it OK to take my daily supplement?
kirbz
Doctor's order trump Whole30 rules. I think you should probably be just fine!
Barb01
Thank you so much for responding. I am on day 6, feel fantastic, have made the most flavorful and remarkable meals but was concerned about the osteo issue. I appreciate the feedback. Have a great day! Moderators ultrarunnergirl Posted August 8, 2018 Moderators Share Posted August 8, 2018 Best course of action is to discuss with your doctor to see if you can take a supplement sans soy. Remember that you need magnesium to properly absorb calcium. Most people are not deficient in calcium but are deficient in magnesium. Explore with your doctor the option of taking some magnesium as well. Many of us take a tsp of Natural Calm (original flavor is compliant) in a small glass of water an hour before bed each night.
