Primal Kitchen Mayo

Hello! Does anyone use the Primal Kitchen Mayo for their meals? Do you like it?

Also, what do you use mayo for in your meals? The only thing that comes to my mind is artichokes and a chicken salad.

I’m thinking of using some mayo to add some fat to my meals. Thank you!

I like the Primal Kitchen mayo, but it is kind of expensive and it's not really that difficult to make your own. (I use this recipe when I make it myself:   https://thehealthyfoodie.com/fail-proof-home-made-paleo-mayo-whole30-compliant/)  By all means if you just want to try a jar, buy it, see how you like it, but if you end up using a lot, look into making it yourself.

You can use it for egg salad, deviled eggs, chicken or tuna or salmon salad, use it to dip roasted veggies in (really, try it -- roasted sweet potato chunks dipped in mayo, so good), mix some different herbs with it to make a ranch dressing/dip, use it when you bake chicken or fish (like this: http://www.threedietsonedinner.com/2013/06/lubys-baked-fish-almondine-makeover.html but use ghee or olive oil where she uses butter). There are some other sauce recipes here:  https://whole30.com/2014/08/mayo-ghee-sauces/. Here's a mayo-based creamy italian dressing: http://meljoulwan.com/2011/01/25/tangy-goodness-creamy-italian-dressing/ I sometimes make a hamburger salad, where I basically use all the stuff I'd put on a burger, including mustard and mayo, in a big salad.

The Chipotle Lime is amazing.  My wife is addicted to it for sure. :) If you have a Sprouts near you then you can get it for $6.00 a jar right now.  Honestly I think we'd pay that to make it ourselves with the cost of avocado oil (and theirs tastes better than what we've made).

Their salad dressings aren't that great though - too much vinegar.  We've tried Greek, Ranch and Green Goddess.  The Green Goddess was very good but compared to Trader Joe's version, it's inferior.

I personally do not love the Primal Kitchen mayo after having made my own several times.  I think homemade tastes way better!  But it never hurts to try it and see for yourself!  Mayo is a staple in my house during the Whole30 and I use it the same way as others have already mentioned.  It's also really good as a dip for sweet potatoes if you mix it with some compliant ketchup!
