Jg1656
I saw it says I can have the steamed frozen veggies and fruit. Both have sugar in them. Ie a bag of steamed broccoli has 2g sugar and fruit of course has a ton. I am just learning about it so I am sure I am missing something but it says no sugar at all
Moderators ShannonM816 Posted August 20, 2018 Moderators Share Posted August 20, 2018 You're not allowed to have added sugar or sweetener, which would be listed in the ingredients list. Naturally occurring sugars, like those that are in all fruits, vegetables, and even nuts, are okay. Just read the ingredients list and make sure there's nothing in that list that isn't allowed. sebany78
Hi! I didn't start yet but I will. I'm having issues with sugar and labels. I get that if sugar is between the ingredients is not allowed but sometimes I seen sugar mentioned on the label breakdown like "sugar 2g" even is not present on the ingredients. What that means? Is that allowed? Thanks and happy whole30

Lots of foods, like fruits and vegetables, contain naturally occurring sugar, which will show up as grams of sugar in the nutrition information panel, but that is okay, because it's just there, naturally, as part of those fruits and vegetables.
