amyll
Can I eat Rxbars and drink Orgain protein drinks while on Whole30?
Moderators SugarcubeOD Posted August 30, 2018 Moderators Share Posted August 30, 2018 Some RX bars are approved for emergencies only. I've never heard of Orgain protien shakes... what are the ingredients? Aside from that tho, google 'whole30 can I have smoothies' to get our official recommendation on drinking your meals. Lokan_V
RX bars are fine except for ones that contain peanuts or peanut butter. I don't think the one with maple syrup is compliant but never got a definitive answer. But like SugarcubeOD mentioned, for emergencies only

I was so adamant about it but couldn't get anyone to confirm until you! Side note - I really enjoy reading your responses on the forums. You are so knowledgeable and extremely helpful. pags98
There's not maple syrup in it. It's Maple Water. Thus the conflicting information. If it were Maple syrup it's an easy call. From what I've read maple water is acceptable as is coconut water and other fruit juice being technically compliant. Maple water is 97% water and is the pure sap. But since it's in a grey area meh, personally I'd just avoid it. The others are very good without the "risk." Since it's an emergency food anyway, my personal opinion is to keep it that much cleaner.
