So this is my third "whole30" adventure and I have to say, that after throwing caution to the wind this past month (I work at Trader Joe's and it's a nightmare with candy and chocolate!) I am so excited to eat better. I realized even though I gave in to "missing" those holiday treats, I actually missed how awesome I felt just by eating better. So now I'm noshing on chicken chili burger with avocado, sugar free salsa and some bone broth and kombucha. YAY!

I just started today too! This is my first Whole 30 so I don't have all the lingo down yet but I have had some pretty delicious meals today so far. I'm looking forward to seeing what lies ahead in the next 30 days. Exactly two years ago I went on a very strict medical diet where they had me eating only protein (500 calories) each day. I know, I know, I know! Stupid - RIGHT? Anyhoo, that plan messed up my thyroid and other hormones. I finally got all of that straightened out and - I'm sure it goes without saying - I gained the 15 pounds I lost on that diet back within a year. :( So last year I kept trying to figure it out for myself and just got in deeper and deeper. Luckily a friend posted info about the Whole 30 on Facebook last month. The plan that makes perfect sense!
