Jessie2020
hello! Day 3, going strong! However, I'm an avid mid afternoon snacker, particularly because I eat breakfast around 830, so I have lunch around 1, then gym after work around 6...I need the snack to get me through the workout! I think lunch today wasn't enough because I ate at 12:30, salad with lots of veggies, chicken, and walnuts, plus olive oil and balsam. vin. and I'm STARVING now and it's 3:45. Help?! Derval
How about a pre and/or post workout meal? That's allowed if your intensity warrants it. Maybe sit down and divide up your day and see if you can space your meals evenly? Personally I do 7.30am/12.30pm/5.30pm.
Moderators Tom Denham Posted January 3, 2013 Moderators Share Posted January 3, 2013 Start eating 4 meals per day. And go to 5 if necessary. It takes a while for your body to become comfortably fat adapted and you may need more than 3 meals per day for a while. I did not work down to 3 meals per day until more than a year of eating this way.
Jessie2020
PHEW! So nice to hear that! I don't like feeling hungry and I know Whole30 is about feeling satisfied and never hungry. Going to have a big "snack" now then dinner at 730. I'll begin 4 meals starting tomorrow, thank you!
Melelina
Thanks for this direction. I have been eating 5-6 meals a day for the past few years. While I am not starting my first Whole30 until Monday, I am a wee bit concerned about the three meals a day. Is eating more frequently - at least initially - going to adversely affect the fat adaptation? Start eating 4 meals per day. And go to 5 if necessary.
