Queenbeejo
Hello, This was brought up in one of my groups. Topping vegetables with this dairy free queso as a fat. https://sietefoods.com/blogs/siete-stories/our-new-line-of-dairy-free-queso What is the official word of using it as a fat? Thank you so much. Moderators ShannonM816 Posted November 26, 2018 Moderators Share Posted November 26, 2018 It is not particularly high fat, so it will probably not substitute completely for the fat someone would need in each meal if they're having a thumb-sized serving or two of it, although how much fat a person needs will vary from person to person so people will need to pay attention to how they feel and if they're able to go 4-5 hours between meals. As a reminder, while certain SWYPO foods are specifically called out in the rules (pancakes and chips, for instance), this is kind of a gray area. If people are not sure whether this is a good option for them on Whole30, you could direct them to articles like this one: https://whole30.com/2018/07/savory-cravings/ to help them decide. laura_juggles
It's also made of nuts, so those aren't really the best choice for fats.
