WanderlustanNYer
In the whole 30 F &E cookbook it says 2 tsp ‘whole 30 compliant seasoning’ for the Citrusy Fish stew does anyone have an idea what spices that consists of or where I can find the seasoning? lucylove
hi--that would just mean any spices that don't contain gluten, etc. Trader Joes 21-seasoning would be good with fish, or lemon pepper or mixed herbs.
Moderators ShannonM816 Posted December 26, 2018 Moderators Share Posted December 26, 2018 It probably means something like Old Bay (which is compliant, at least the original recipe is, I think they make salt-free and other varieties but I've never checked them to see what their ingredients are). Any general seasoning blend you like would probably work -- a cajun seasoning might be good, Italian seasoning would be a different flavor but might work, or if you don't have something you think would be good, you could probably do a combo of any or all of the following that you do have: salt, pepper, garlic powder, paprika, nutmeg, cinnamon, cayenne, onion powder, mustard powder -- just don't do more than a total of 2 teaspoons of everything all together.
