Aceinig
I can think of a reason to not have this....but I wanted to double check. Cauliflower, cassava flour, potato starch, extra virgin olive oil and sea salt.
Moderators ShannonM816 Posted December 30, 2018 Moderators Share Posted December 30, 2018 If you check the rules, you'll see this: Do not consume baked goods, junk foods, or treats with “approved” ingredients. Recreating or buying sweets, treats, and foods-with-no-brakes (even if the ingredients are technically compliant) is totally missing the point of the Whole30, and will compromise your life-changing results. These are the same foods that got you into health-trouble in the first place—and a pancake is still a pancake, even if it’s made with coconut flour. Some specific foods that fall under this rule include: pancakes, waffles, bread, tortillas, biscuits, muffins, cupcakes, cookies, brownies, pizza crust, alternative flour pastas, cereal, or ice cream. So, gnocchi is out for your whole30, even if the ingredients are compliant.
Whole30 Certified Coach tbrunhoefer Posted December 30, 2018 Whole30 Certified Coach Share Posted December 30, 2018 The cauliflower gnocchi is made to look, feel and taste like REAL pasta. This is very much SWYPO.
Aceinig
Thanks! I guess I didn’t think of this as a SWYPO since pasta is SO far off my radar as a danger food. I haven’t had it for years outside of when I went to Italy. I am more likely to over indulge on veggie noodles than anything that comes close to looking and feeling like real pasta. But everyone has their triggers. Thanks for the info!
