What do you use during your races?

I have ran 2 halfs before, I used raisins, apricots, and bananasn for during the race. You can usually find bananas during the race at water stops. Raisins and apricots are easy to carry in a small ziploc bag in you shorts or wherever other runners would hold their gels.

Before the training runs/race I would eat hard boiled eggs and nuts.

After the training runs/race was lots of pumpkin, bananas, and protein.

What race are you training for? Will heat be a factor?
