Henry Cohen
Today is day 1! I understand that coconut milk is a good way of adding fat to my diet. What if I feel like I want some fat, and instead of cooking with it, I just take 3 ounces of coconut milk from the can and drink it. That has like 14 grams of fat. Is that okay to do? In the spirit of Whole30? Am I cheating? Just kind of need some guidance on that. Thank you! Henry
Moderators ShannonM816 Posted February 11, 2019 Moderators Share Posted February 11, 2019 It's okay. It would likely give me a bit of a stomach ache because it's a bit rich, but if it works for you, go for it. You can also add it to coffee or tea, or use it in cooking curries or soups. Jihanna
I generally get my coconut milk in the form of condiments (there are some truly yummy coconut-based dressings) or mixed in with the meal. I CAN drink coconut milk, but only if it's homemade or from a carton... the full-fat canned kind is just too thick for me to try to drink it (though I could potentially drink the watery bits when using the cream for something else). pags98
It's really good to cook into cauliflower rice with a bit of lime and, if you like it, cilantro.
