solshine
3-5 times per week I order delivery for lunch or dinner, this is what works best for my schedule so I will continue to do this throughout the Whole30 Journey. I do meal prep but it only works for breakfast as I am not home during lunch or dinner hours and do not have a place to heat foods up or keep them cool during the day. I stick mostly to Thai, Indian, and Central + South American foods (obviously these are rice heavy - I've read that ordering extra veggies is a good alternative to rice) I do have some limitations - I don't eat pork or beef, and I'm highly allergic to shellfish and mango. What do you think the best options (beyond salads) are for these types of restaurants? Thanks!
Administrators ladyshanny Posted April 16, 2019 Administrators Share Posted April 16, 2019 I would try to stick with grilled meats (check oils and marinades/rubs/seasonings) and steamed veggies. Bring your own fat sources (avocado, ghee etc)
SchrodingersCat
You're going to have to go plain grilled meat and plain veg - I guarantee you none of the sauces or marinades are compliant. You'll need to check that the meat isn't pre-marinated or brined too, it's pretty rare that it's not and there's generally at least sugar in the brine, if not also MSG.
