CHING
Has anyone done Intermittent Fasting with Whole 30? Is it possible? I have gotten used to going 12 - 16 hours before first meal-- but still getting n enough food.. Can I continue this when I start my second Whole 30 next Monday, June 17? I find I think more clearly , have more energy, and am no longer hungry in the morning since doing IF.
SchrodingersCat
Melissa specifically says not to, here's her answer about it: https://whole30.com/2015/10/fasting/
Vevster
This is how I have been eating for the past 8 months... I'm just adding in Whole 30. I agree w/ Melissa that trying to incorporate both at the same time may be stressful....
Whole30 Certified Coach Erinj Posted June 14, 2019 Whole30 Certified Coach Share Posted June 14, 2019 For the purpose of the Whole30, and the intention of the program (to focus on your health, habits, and relationships with food) it might be too complicated to add intermittent fasting to the mix, and yes stressful to the body as well. I would definitely recommend completing your Whole30 by the books, including reintroduction, then experimenting with intermittent fasting
Pandora Black
The whole 30 is hard enough...why complicate it more? Not to mention, if you actually read the studies on intermittent fasting the people who did it also cut out grains, legumes and dairy so...save yourself the starvation of fasting and just do a whole 30.
