Is Cauliflower Rice SWYPO?

Watching the FB thread this past weekend got me thinking, am I having SWMPO w/o even realizing it.

My wife and I have started several Whole 30s, two completed successfully. The others were close but not quite Whole 30. Otherwise, we follow paleo for most of the year but usually get way off track through the holidays.

Even after Whole 30 we rarely try to paleoize old recipes but cauliflower "rice" and "mashed potatoes" are a staple for us.

So, SWYPO?

The difference between those crepes and the cauli rice is context and usage.

Those crepes did not, in any way, fit our meal planning template. We want you to eat protein, veggies (gobs!) and fat. Those were coconut flour/eggs (minimal protein by the time you divide the eggs across the serving), nut butter (fat, but we want you to be moderate with your nuts) and a banana (nothing wrong with a banana, but we don't want it to take the place of your veggies). Your cauli rice and mashed taters are veggies and (unless you top them with coconut butter and apple slices) fit nicely into the meal template. Enjoy!

I agree with Robin about context and usage. I actually LOVE rice and found myself eating it all day, everyday between both my Whole30s. I think if I were to make cauliflower rice constantly then *for me personally* I would consider that SWYPO because I'm just filling that craving/void. If I just have it once in awhile I consider that okay, plus it's a good serving of veggies.
