RoyVer
Trader Joe's recently introduced a sugar free bacon (stated in bold letters on the front of the package) that I believe meets the Whole30 criteria. It was a nice find!
Whole30 Certified Coach mae tanner Posted November 17, 2019 Whole30 Certified Coach Share Posted November 17, 2019 Hi, @RoyVer! Thanks for the heads up! I agree, the ingredients fit the compliant criteria. Does it taste nice to boot? It's always nice to find compliant products in the market place! be well, ~mae
hollysmokes
I found it to be pretty flavorless and my husband agreed. It's not bad but it's also not great. Not salty, not smokey just meh.
RoyVer
I like it. It is more mild in flavor, but still gives a bacon flavor.
mazzystarslight
I've tried a few different sugar free, compliant bacon brands but end up just deferring to Applegate now -- it's usually a little pricier, but always delicious; the other ones usually don't even look good in the packaging. I was never a "bacon" person but find myself eating a lot more bacon and hotdogs (also sugar-free, compliant... Applegate) way more on Whole30, which is weird. I guess they are satiating/tasty/convenient?
