Is Whole30 backed by science?

  Yes, the Whole30 program is absolutely backed by science. The scientific evidence is heavily concentrated in the book It Starts with Food.  You can also look through any of the free resources on the website. Here's a good place to start:

  The program has you eating recommended amounts of protein, vegetables, fruit and fats. It's all whole, real food, and there are no nutrients you're missing by forgoing bread, sweets, etc.
