_Gigi_
I'll be heading to a big family dinner with in-laws and other family this weekend. This will by no means be simple... our family dinners tend to borderline gourmet, i.e. multiple courses, a big main dish, etc Thankfully my sis-in-law asked me to bring a salad for the crowd, which lends itself to Whole30 of course, and I'm glad to bring something that I can definitely eat while staying on track! I'm at a loss for interesting Whole30 side salad recipes though. A regular "romaine, cucumbers, tomatoes" garden salad would be out of place with the rest of the spread. Any Whole30 chefs out there with suggestions?
Moderators ShannonM816 Posted January 8, 2020 Moderators Share Posted January 8, 2020 If it's likely to be the only thing you'll be able to eat, maybe something like this, scaled up on a big platter? http://meljoulwan.com/2014/12/26/paleo-gado-gado-recipe/
laura_juggles
I love a salad made from kale and shredded brussels sprouts with a Dijon and shallot vinaigrette (Annie's Dijon was compliant last I checked...read your labels). Top with some toasted sliced walnuts. It sounds really simple, but it's delicious.
