kiaradmitchell
My fiance and I are on day 7 of the January Whole30 and we've both been complaining about having multiple mouth sores. Does anyone know what this could be from? I suppose it could be unrelated, but I wanted to see if anyone else had the same issue!
Administrators ladyshanny Posted January 8, 2020 Administrators Share Posted January 8, 2020 Not common but not unheard of. Of course, if you are concerned you should see your doctor! My experience here on the forum is that it's generally caused from eating more acidic foods than you're used to or more of something you don't normally eat (coconut/avocado etc). Go for some softer and more easily digested foods for a couple days and see how you heal. Chicken breast, sweet potato mash etc.
Brittany Sundberg
This also happened to me this time around. I had to slow down on the vinaigrette dressings on my salads and the oranges with my lunch, and then it improved! Hopefully your experience gets better! KarenandMike
I have also experienced canker sores that I am sure have been related to excess stress - as well as low Vitamin B. I would recommend getting some extra B. I know - they are uncomfortable!!! Hope this helps, Karen
