On day 3 and feel terrible like I have the flu

Hello! I was excited to start a healthier journey but on day 3 I woke up feeling like I was run over by a truck like the flu. I slept most of the day and felt terrible including headaches. Today is day 4 and I’m so nauseos I cannot eat anything or drink without feeling like I’m going to throw up. I don’t want to give up but I have to function. Thanks for any guidance!

It sounds like you might have a bug. Having a headache is standard for most people in the first few days and depending on what their diet was like coming into the program, some mild nausea can be expected but this sounds more extreme - like a bug.

My husband had this his first round - eat anything whole30 that you can get down. Soup, sweet potato, roast chicken, even if just a little bit. Plenty of water. Your body is trying hard to adapt and it needs fuel. Hope you feel better soon.

This time year, it's just as likely (if not more) that it's the actual flu.
