Sarah Hernandez
Hello all! My name is Sarah and I am new to Whole 30! I had not even really heard of this regimen until recently. For the past two years I have been struggling with my health and weight. I had previously lost a lot of weight in high school on Weight Watchers and maintained that through some of college. I had also tried the Keto Diet a couple years ago which I found particularly difficult and hard to sustain despite losing some weight ( I gained it back and then some!). I am looking forward to trying Whole 30 and sticking to the program! I'm also feeling particularly motivated (but also stressed) because I am getting married in six months so the pressure is on! What attracts me most to this program is the avoidance of added sugars, alcohol, and the eschewing of the scale. I hope to be successful and am excited about the community support! We can do this! -Sarah
Whole30 Certified Coach Shani_SWP Posted January 14, 2020 Whole30 Certified Coach Share Posted January 14, 2020 Congratulations and welcome! Whole30 is not a weight loss diet, but rather a 40 day elimination diet to find what foods work best for your unique body (30 days Whole30 and a 10 day reintroduction). While many people do lose weight focusing on eating whole, unprocessed foods, that's not our aim. We try to help you improve your relationship with food (remove the guilt of good/bad food, and help you discover what foods fuel you best). You can get a free starter kit with a bunch of resources by signing up here: https://whole30.com/ (click on the banner at the top of the page). Good luck on your healthier you journey!
