Katherine C.
Hello, Since peas are now allowed in the Whole30 - is pea protein approved as well? As a vegan doing a modified Whole30, I want to be sure I'm aware of all my options. Thank you!
lana.the.explorer
Yes, pea protein is now allowed! But all the other ingredients in the protein need to be100% complaint. Alot of pea protein powders also include rice protein, sweeteners, ect ect. So just check for those, but if it's just 100% pea protein (or combined with other compliant ingredients), you're good to go!
Chippy
Since peas started to be allowed I've had them a lot with no problems but today I had green pea flour pasta and got bloating and stomach cramps. That must be psychological, what do you think?
Moderators SugarcubeOD Posted May 15, 2020 Moderators Share Posted May 15, 2020 It's possible that the processing of the peas into flour is what has caused your issue... just an aside tho, there's no such thing as compliant pasta on the program based on the 'do not recreate baked goods' rule. Chippy
Ok, thanks. I won't have it again, tasted nice though, like softened macaroni
