kdpollock
We are now permitted split yellow peas. So what exactly does this mean? Included in this description are Toor Dal (pigeon), Mung Dal, and Chana Dal (chickpea) - all sold as yellow split peas. You have yellow mung, yellow pigeon, yellow chickpeas Which is compliant? Moderators ShannonM816 Posted April 26, 2020 Moderators Share Posted April 26, 2020 Chickpeas are also called garbanzo beans, and are beans, not peas, so they are not allowed (see the Can I Have list under chickpeas: https://whole30.com/the-official-can-i-have-guide-to-the-whole30/) What is definitely compliant is yellow field peas, it looks like it's also called matar dal. It is related to snap peas and snow peas.
