Can I have pigeon peas and black eyed peas?

I love cooking and eating dal, and I've had to say goodbye to most varieties for the sake of Whole30. And possibly after, once I start testing the impact lentils have on my whole system, not just my taste buds...well, I'm not going to think about that yet. I can still make chana dal, thank goodness -- yellow split peas, Indian-style.

But I'm wondering if I can make dal from pigeon peas and black-eyed peas, in their whole and/or split forms? I didn't grow up eating this food and this isn't my heritage at all, so I only know about these foods from cookbooks and the internet. I don't really know the dietary/nutrition differences between these different 'pulses.' Can anyone enlighten me as to whether pigeon peas and black eyed peas are in bounds or out of bounds?

Blackeyed peas are specifically called out in the rules as off limits -- rules are here:  https://whole30.com/whole30-program-rules/

Pigeon peas are not specifically mentioned by name either as allowed or not (here is where you can find the ones that are allowed:  https://whole30.com/whole30-rules-peas/). Unfortunately I think in this case that means they're not allowed either.
