FISH OIL SUPPLEMENTS

This is not my first whole30 but it is my first whole30 that I'm looking to take supplements on. Long story short I had twins four months ago which are my third and fourth child. For the first time after a pregnancy I am actually dealing with post partum hair loss. (UHG!) My doctor suggested taking fish oil pill supplements. She didn't suggest a brand. I started using my husbands because he always takes them so we had some. They immediately did thee trick! I stopped loosing hair. I looked at the label for the first time two days ago and to my surprise there is only three ingredients but one of them is Glycerin. I searched up and down looking for fish oil pills or liquid that is compliant and I cant find any! Does anyone know a brand that is compliant?? I've kept taking the ones we have because I really want my hair to stop falling out. I was preparing for a whole60 through February anyway so I'm not to upset about technically being off plan the last 8 days.

Hmmm, I wouldn't think there would be a problem with glycerin on W30 as it is a non-digestible ingredient. It literally goes right through you. It's purpose in supplements is to hold onto the active ingredients and slow release them as they travel through your system so you get maximum benefit from them. Most absorption of nutrients takes place in the intestines so the nuttrients themselves have to get through the firebath of acid that is our stomachs first.  Glycerin helps them do that.

And @CassieK if what is doing is helping you retain your hair so that you have enough left over to pull out running after 4 kids then you better take it!!

Thank you for your response! I saw it was on a list of the sneaky sugars and listed as a sugar alcohol. I'm not sure how old that list was though. All the conversations I saw on it on the forum were from 2014 so that could have changed since those conversations as well. I'll still look for something else but I think for the sake of my hair your right I need to keep taking it lol!

I have always been told fish oil is a good supplements to take. I used to just take it as a kid but now in my thirties I realize that it does help a lot more than I thought it did. I take a bunch of supplements in the morning to start my day along with my breakfast fish oil being one that I take two a day. I also take vitamin C, vitamin D, and a multivitamin, Also with a weight loss supplement to help me loss weight for getting into my thirties hasn't been kind to me and obesity has been hereditary. Losing the weight with the one supplement and my consistency to the gym has dropped me from 297 pounds in the last 4 months down to a nicer 184 pounds. The other vitamins and supplements on top of that help me get the nutrients my body needs to stay healthy. Just hit me up in the replies and comments for more info, I love being able to provide suggestions.
