Can I take corn out of soup?

I just made a big batch of soup to freeze and have on hand for days I don't feel like cooking. It's a recipe I've made a million times so I did it without thinking and am just now realizing the bag of mixed veggies I added has corn. It's been simmering for about two hours. If I take the corn out at this point, is it ok to eat? Or is the damage already done?
