Mookie3
Anyone know why the Larabar Apple Pie flavor bars are allowed but not the Cinnamon Roll flavor? They have literally the exact same ingredients except Cinnamon Roll also has sea salt, which is obviously allowed, and not the apples.
Moderators ShannonM816 Posted February 1, 2021 Moderators Share Posted February 1, 2021 Who says it isn't allowed? If the ingredients are compatible with Whole30 rules, it is allowed -- the Larabars that aren't typically have peanut butter, peanuts, or chocolate chips (which have added sugar). As far as i know the cinnamon roll flavor is fine.
Mookie3
Thank you ShannonM816. I saw it listed as one of the flavors that was barred on a list of compliant and non compliant flavors.
Moderators ShannonM816 Posted February 1, 2021 Moderators Share Posted February 1, 2021 Any time you find a list like that about any brand, always check ingredients for yourself and compare them to the rules and resources from whole30.com -- like the Can I Have list (here: https://whole30.com/the-official-can-i-have-guide-to-the-whole30/) or the downloads available here: https://whole30.com/pdf-downloads/. People misunderstand the rules, or misinterpret them. Or it could be that the recipe for that flavor changed and it used to have something that made it not Whole30, but now it is.
