Lynnefair
So yesterday was day one. I completed my 1st Whole30 (actually 45) in 2013 and have always wanted to do it again b/c I clearly didn't understand the critical importance of the whole reintroduction piece. I fell hard off the wagon of good eating/drinking and went on a vacation where I was bloated swollen and generally felt like crap. I was doing well on day one, I had planned my meals and was drinking my water (no Diet Coke). Then as he frequently does, my manager comes around with a bowl of bite sized candy bars. Out of sheer habit, not desire or craving, I ate a little Twix bar. I had barely even swallowed the thing when bells went off in my head telling me what I had done! Fortunately it was only day one and restarting today was not a big deal. So, here I go... --------------------------- Today I had: Breakfast sausage patty with 2 eggs, spinach and onion Chicken Salad w/Lemon and Dill on greens with lemon and scallions. https://www.skinnytaste.com/chicken-salad-with-lemon-and-dill/ Banana with Almond Butter Cauliflower Rice Chicken Biryani https://www.skinnytaste.com/cauliflower-rice-chicken-biryani/ ----------------------------- I have planned my meals through Friday as the 1st week is always more challenging and I anticipate being pretty wiped out after work for a few days as I adjust. Glad to have finally committed to this again. Things that I hope improve on this journey: Joint pain - low back, hands, knees, hips Nerve pain - sciatic, hands Bloated feeling Puffy face and eyes Restless sleep Difficulty staying asleep - waking multiple times of the night General Anxiety Dry skin Inconsistent Bowels Dry eyes Scattered thinking - too many squirrels Brittle fingernails Clothes fitting better A few pounds gone would be GREAT!
